Hey everyone, I was recently given a book with the title “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die”. Usually I’m not a fan of such lists - those of Rolling Stone and NME spring to mind.
Hey everyone,I was recently given a book with the title “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die”. Usually I’m not a fan of such lists - those of Rolling Stone and NME spring to mind. But because it was in my physical possession, I had a flick through and realised I’d only heard about fifty or sixty of them (I’d heard of far more but never gotten around to listening to them). The list starts in 1955 with Frank Sinatra’s “In The Wee Small Hours” and ends with “I See You”, released in 2017 by The XX. I’m currently up to the 44th album on the list, The Rolling Stones’ first record, and it’s been a wild ride this far - I’ve listened to so much music that I’d never come across before.
